My Christmas insight
Man,
In his own image we were created
Given power to rule the earth
But the serpent couldn't let it be
A plan he formulated
There was a forbidden fruit
Which man wasn't meant to eat
But the serpent lured, and man fell
The fall of man
God looked down on us
With pity and love so surplus
He decided to bring us salvation
Through his son, we were given the gift of redemption
It was a great decision
The most thoughtful gift that can't go into extinction
The coming of our Messiah
Prophesied by Isiah
A beginning of the creation
Of a new generation
With victory declaration
A call for celebration
The coming of our savior
With love peace and favor
The dawn of a new era
Our Redeemer forever
He caused the serpent to surrender
A day we'll forever remember
I do not speak of a fake
But a giver so true
His life he agreed to sacrifice
That we may be assured of eternal life
Sited around the fire
The Christmas light illuminating the chilly night
Dressed in our beautiful attires
That could be Christmas
Fifty dishes, placed on our table
With the chicken taking the center table
Appetizer, main dish and dessert
That too could be Christmas
But let's not forget that it's a season of giving
A period to be happy, and make others happy
A time to thank the Lord with carols and praises
Through worship and prayers
Christmas isn't about eating
It's about giving
It isn't about showing off
It's about showing love
The birth of a king
Oh let us sing
Sited around the fire
With joy in our hearts
Love in our eyes
As we look around us
Remembering that we caused the smiles, that graced another's lips
Or the laughter that visited their home
Do a good deed for someone
Let that be your Christmas
Happy holidays
But most importantly,
Merry Christmas.
